14th Annual Stoopid 50 Backcountry Ride

We have a great course in Virginia for this backcountry singletrack event. Here is your course map

Last year we did an invitation only test ride and it was off the hook. Dowells Draft, Georgia Camp, Road Hollow, Bridge Hollow and Braleys with the final climb up Dowells and back down Lookout Mountain - nothing better!!

The Stoopid 50 is a pretty darn tough and fun trail ride with lots of climbing. There is a spilt where you can choose a 40 mile option that would eliminate a large climb. Registration is at 7:30 am with the ride starting at 9 am Sunday morning from the Stokesville Campground. Expect ride times of 5-10 hours

Fee Schedule:

Early Registration $60 - Ends Sunday March 7th - 11:00pm EST

Late Registration $80 - Ends Saturday April 7th - 11:00pm EST

Onsite Registration $100

Weekend Schedule:

Saturday: Stokesville is open to participants anytime!
- Sites 14-24 and P1-P9 are reserved for RV's who made a special reservation!

Sunday: 7:30-8:30 am Rider Check-in

8:45 Rider Meeting

9 am Ride Starts

2 pm Post Ride Food


An additional $10 per person for camping per day. $25 for a non-racing accomplice joining you who wishes to camp and eat after the event. This can be paid at racer check-in or on line when you register.

2020 will see 2 passes of 1 Aid Stations this year - at the bottom of Dowell's Draft
The Aid Stations will have water, Hammer HEED, Clifbar Products, Gatorade, salty food, granola bars, figs, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and some apples or bananas.
We will transport a drop bag for you : 1- 1 gallon zip lock bag (upon request)
