| The Shenandoah
Mountain Bike Club founded by local Harrisonburg, VA cyclists is currently
the catch all for trail work and trail issues in the George Washington National
Forest's Deerfield, Dry River, and Lee Ranger Districts. SMBC officers recieve
and review official scoping information from the USFS about various projects
such as controlled burns, road consturction, trail changes and special projects
taking place in the forest. If you have a concern about an certain issue
in the forest your voice will be heard by the proper authorities best if
voiced through them. The Forest Service listens to groups far more than
individuals and the SMBC is at the top of the groups they listen to because
of all the joint work that has been done over the past years in an effort
to keep the trails riding great. |
