Come spend the weekend linking together all sections of the Shenandoah Mountain 100 course for 2010!! Hone your skills, and get a handle on all the aspects of the race with the SMT crew guiding you. This camp will be geared towards giving participants a through reconnaissance of the course and every component of the event. The riding pace will be slow to moderate, focusing on steady riding to create a clear mental vision of conquering the course.
Past NUE Series champion, multiple Shenandoah Mountain 100 winner, and competitive cycling coach, Chris Eatough will be riding with the group for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) to offer his expertise, and answer your questions on the Shenandoah Mountain 100! This is a great opportunity to put yourself in a position to improve your race time!!
The camp will begin Friday 7/23 at 10 AM meeting at Stokesville Campground - Race Start/Finish
3 day camp $475
2 day camp $350 - Saturday and Sunday
Schedule:
Friday:
10:00 AM: Arrive at Stokesville Campground - Meet and Greet, and discussion
of the weekend plan.
12:00 Noon: Lunch
1:00 PM: Riding - Start to Aid Station 2
6:00 PM : Back to Harrisonburg
Saturday
8 AM: Meet at Stokesville Campground
9:00 AM: Riding sections Aid Station 2 to Aid Station 3
12:00 - aid station pit stop
1:00 PM: Riding sections from Aid Station 3 to the base of the "death climb"
6:30 PM: Training Talk, and SM100 Strategy with Chris Eatough
Sunday
8:30 AM: Meet at Stokesville Campground
9:00 AM: Riding final stretch up the "death climb" to the Finish.
3:00 PM: Post-ride Q/A with Chris Eatough
4:30 PM: Adjourn, and thanks for coming!!
SMT will be provding Guide Service, Chris Eatough's Training Services, and
Lunches from Mr. J's Bagels. Participants will provide their own lodging, and
other meals.
