Shenandoah Mountain Touring was formed in 1999 by Mike Carpenter, Jamie Keehner and Chris Scott. There are now two more full time employees, Matt Smith and Tyler Spurlock. Matt takes care of a lot of logistics, planning, as well as guiding. Tyler also guides in addition to his duties of updating our social media sites, editing videos, and coordinating registration for our events. Currently we promote special events, backcountry mountain bike races, and operate road and mountain bike tours by appointment only in the Geroge Washington National Forest. Our headquarters on Campbell Street in Harrisonburg is not open for business at any time. We just perform our office functions here at random times through out the year. Please make an appointment at least 1 week in advance if you plan to stop through and want to talk trails. We have a very nice rental bike fleet that you can book one week in advance of your intented use. Our fees for rental bikes range from $35 to $55 depending on the bling of the bike.
